There are accounts of it going on for ages and being agonising. Doctors are prohibited from doing it so it's basically amateurs who conduct it.
probably less painfull that living ~80years as a sub7 subhuman male tbh
There is a place in Switzerland that specializes in this and is a haven for people with terminal diseases, hear they are pro af and there is no outward suffering but at that point you will never find out if the person suffered or not although I imagine they could connect an EEG or something but yea

carbon monoxide is painless, just don't build up a huge amount of exhaust in a closed space or you'll be hacking and choking on the smoke before the CO gets you, and that is NOT painless.
